All common questions about the game should be directed here. This includes both single-player and online questions. When asking a question, it is often beneficial to share which mode you are referring to in order to get an accurate response. Also consider sharing any relevant information that may help someone answer your question.

All story spoilers must be displayed with the proper format:

    >!RDR is a great game!<

    gives you:

    RDR is a great game

If you're not sure if you should use a spoiler tag or not, err on the side of caution and use one. Also, it's a nice gesture to visibly indicate the general nature of your spoiler before the tag, so people know what you're spoiling.

Tip: if you play the game in super slow motion, more events spawn and less bugs occur

    Dear Story mode fans,

This topic I made to inform you of something that I have noticed on my third playthrough.

If you play the game slow. Like really, really slow, there are much more things happening at camp and in the playing world.

Aaaaand: inb4 "they always happen but you don't notice them at a normal or high pace."

Most definitely not true. Partially if you keep forcing the game to render textures it has less reserves for random events. Yes, technically that's a technical hiatus, but it is what it is.

If you walk into Valentine while leading your horse, much more people will spawn.

The bonding with your horse goes super fast if you ride it slow and lead it in town.

If you listen in to conversations of NPCs, and then wait another bit passively, they will tell much more details.

If you visit the shitty saloon a few times and stay there for 3 minutes or so, at least 5 NPCs will start a conversation with you. Mainly about the sheep ranch owner and the sherrif.

Ben Albright and Elle Swan have a rediculous amount of spoken lines. You can come back to Ben 4 times and 7 to Elle with unique dialogue each time.

Now, if you played the game multiple times you'll have noticed probably most of the interactions at camp Orthor can have with the gang. But if you stay passive, you will see a great number of gang member events that are way less likely to be witnessed otherwise. Like Pearson changing his sweater, Strauss leaking in the bushes, Grimshaw reading musical notes, and Kieran saying sweet things to horses thinking he's unwatched. This is just Chap2, and it happens mostly in the bushes around horseshoe overlook.

Robbery tips are being discussed by Javier and Pearson. Sadie has much more lines than 'nightmare can't wake up from' if you speak with her in different settings in stead of walking by.

I play as white hat as possible, only actively stopping O'driscoll operations/hideouts and some questionable random events just to get them over with. Lasso when possible.

The convo with Karen in where Arthur admits to being a deranged maniac will legit only start after you killed. I avoided hitting rabbits with my horse, didn't kill a soul outside yellow orb main missions and behaved as good as possible. The convo didn't come up but 2 days after pouring forth oil IV, when I brought back a dear. (still didn't shoot anyone though)

Riding towards a place ultra slow will make time go slower. In raced to Owanjila from 10 in the morning from horse hoe and I was there a lot faster than going at a leasurely trot. But, it was 1500 in the noon racing, and 20:00 at a leasurely trot. Even though it took at least 4 times as long. Also saw way more animals spawn. My compendium is filling up rapidly.

NPCs have complimented my wild caught mustang in at least 20 different ways.

I could go on and on, but there are details nowhere to be found in those clickbaity YouTube vids titled 'six trillion little details in rdr2'. And then they start naming obvious as hell things.

Bugs with things not interactable or not being able to be picked up haven't happened once anymore. And it used to happen a lot. I still play disc version.

Perhaps I persuaded someone to follow in my horseshoe prints :)
