    PSA: Start a public posse at your own risk. Rockstar has begun banning and wiping posse leaders' accounts for posse members duping donations at the camp butcher's table

    In case you aren't aware, there is a glitch where a posse member in a posse leader's camp can donate multiple copies of the same animal part to the butchers table, thus earning more trader XP. A couple days ago someone in my posse was donating a boar tusk but it wasn't being removed, so he thought he was lagged out and started furiously clicking away in frustration.

    Little did he know he was sealing my posse leader's fate by doing so, because yesterday he received an email stating that his account had been banned for 30 days and wiped of all progress and inventory. And this isn't an isolated case:

    The person in my posse clicking the boar tusk repeatedly, however, faced no punishment at all. This seems to suggest that Rockstar can only automatically detect whether the owner of the butcher's table is taking in an anomalously high rate of donations, and not the actual culprit.

    I would also suggest that the idling rubber-band users in showdown races on the consoles to farm gold is a much more insidious exploit than getting an extra +5 trader XP with each donated dupe. A 30 day ban and progression wipe is not a proportionate punishment in my opinion. But I digress.

    Be very wary about who you invite to your posse, lest you invite a griefer and they deign to have your account and character progress/inventory wiped.
