All common questions about the game should be directed here. This includes both single-player and online questions. When asking a question, it is often beneficial to share which mode you are referring to in order to get an accurate response. Also consider sharing any relevant information that may help someone answer your question.

All story spoilers must be displayed with the proper format:

    >!RDR is a great game!<

    gives you:

    RDR is a great game

If you're not sure if you should use a spoiler tag or not, err on the side of caution and use one. Also, it's a nice gesture to visibly indicate the general nature of your spoiler before the tag, so people know what you're spoiling.

My dad is playing RDR 2 and he's attached to his horse

Right, so my father who is well into his 70s and grew up being as much as cowboy as a man from the Mid-West can be. Born on a farm, that dealt with cattle and such. Also, it's was the 40s and they were poor so most of the house didn't have plumbing.

Naturally, he grew up loving tales of the "Wild West" you know the romanticized version most of us know. Like he grew up with The Lone Ranger and John Wayne.

So I and my sibling convinced him to try the game, we knew he would love it, even if getting used to a controller (he's on pc, but we figured the controller would be easier for him). Outside of struggling with the controls, he's having a blast. He's telling us about what's going on in the game like we don't know, or like he's there. It's really adorable honestly.

However, with some help, he made it out of Colter, and to Chapter 2. He got to the point where Hosea talks about selling the Shire and my dad decided not to because it reminded him of a workhorse he had back on the farm in his youth that was named Henry.

So now my dad is riding around on this damn horse, which of course he named Henry, and he loves him. He talks to the horse, apologizes when he hits something, about cried when he thought he lost it, but sibling came in clutch with the speedy horse revive. Right now the game is Arthur, my dad, and Henry the horse.

But yeah, maybe in another post I will just share some of the things he's said while playing. It's honestly made my day when he calls to tell me what he's been doing in the game.

Robin, Woodpecker, Songbird, Cardinal, and maybe more birds guide.

Robin, Woodpecker, Songbird, Cardinal, and maybe more birds guide.

On this spot on the map, you can find either a Robin, Woodpecker, Songbird, Cardinal, and it's possible that many more birds. They will spawn on any of the rocks, sometimes on the big one that's single in the front and sometimes on the other side of the river on one of the small ones. All you need to do is go to the rock kill whatever bird there is (sometimes there might be no bird) and ride to the forest near the Horseshoe Overlook and then back to the rocks. I had about 5 woodpeckers spawn there just looking for a Robin. I really tried most of the guides on the internet but this one turned out to be the most efficient one. Hope someone finds this helpful
