All common questions about the game should be directed here. This includes both single-player and online questions. When asking a question, it is often beneficial to share which mode you are referring to in order to get an accurate response. Also consider sharing any relevant information that may help someone answer your question.

All story spoilers must be displayed with the proper format:

    >!RDR is a great game!<

    gives you:

    RDR is a great game

If you're not sure if you should use a spoiler tag or not, err on the side of caution and use one. Also, it's a nice gesture to visibly indicate the general nature of your spoiler before the tag, so people know what you're spoiling.

My 3 year old calls this the "Horse Go Poo Game"

    Posted: 14 Oct 2020 11:24 AM PDT

Back when Animal Crossing came out, my wife decided to show it to our daughter. She immediately enjoyed the fishing. So I thought, "She likes fishing? I'll show her fishing" and loaded RDR2. I had already finished the story. I took her to a river and we caught a fish. Then, the horse unleashed an animated torrent of feces and she shouted "The horse goed poo!". Needless to say, the "horse go poo game" became an instant hit.

Since I was in the epilogue, I showed her Beacher's Hope where we shoveled cow poo, milked the cow, fed the chickens, chased the chickens, played hide and seek with the horse (Elmo), had dinner with Abby (same name as her friend) in her house and gave Rufus lots of pats. Thankfully, the farm doesn't have any events pop up to scare her. We'd play it once or twice a week. Over time, we did more things, like take John for a bath (not deluxe), played dominoes, set up a tent to sleep, cook fish over the fire and ride Elmo up the river to check out waterfalls. Naturally, we had some events, like when a cougar attacked us and she told her mother I "took the fur off a wild cat".

I gave her an old controller so she could press the buttons. She quickly learned how to brush Elmo, give him a cookie and give him a pat. She also loves pretending to reel in the fish when we go fishing.
With so many kids activities being shut down that we would do together, it's been nice to do something new and see her want to explore the world in this game. She learned to identify different animals on sight and we'd use the binoculars to look at them more closely. I would have never thought that the farm maintenance tasks could add so many hours of gameplay, but I have a 3 year old daughter and it sure did.

(SPOILERS) You can kill all the antagonists in the last Arthur's mission

    Posted: 14 Oct 2020 01:23 PM PDT

I was just playing now for my 100% save. I've already beaten the game thrice and for this fourth time i thought to 100% it and explore all game mechanics to see where the limits are. Yesterday i was inside the Lone Giant cave (nothing inside there, sorry) and today, playing through the Red Dead Redemption mission, i found out something quite funny. So after Arthur rescues Abigail and goes back to finally face off Micah and Dutch, i've discovered that when the shooting starts against the Pinkertons, if you as Arthur grab a Dynamite (maybe Fire Bottles works too) and throw one at Dutch/Bill/Javier/Micah/Cleeve/Joe, you can kill all of them instantly. The game doesn't recognize as a kill, even with their bodies flying 10ft in the air, ragdoll and all. But also the games doesn't penalize the player, as the mission simply keep on going while John screams that all of them have fleeted. Feels satisfying to give Micah all he deserves while playing as Arthur.
