Red Dead Redemption Red Dead Redemption 2 is going backwards. |
- Red Dead Redemption 2 is going backwards.
- I'm losing my mind. I've spent 4 days (irl) trying to find a perfect badger pelt. Please, somebody give me a foolproof badger location, I'm begging you.
- Hmmm
- I didn't know pigs actually ate people, pretty crazy stuff
- A portrait of Arthur
- Game Rant writes an article every time a post gets big
- Damn right he is.
- I took Abigail to the middle of the ocean to propose. What’s she gonna do say no? She won’t because of the implication.
- My corn hole set dedicated to the best game ever has been completed. 23 total hours.
- Who knows if they will make a sequel, but if they do make one, I think it will be about either Charles or Sadie. Sadie was talking about going to south america and marrying a handsome revolutionary and Charles said he wanted to go to Canada and start a family. What do you guys think?
- Micah my drawing
- Is he talking about charlotte?
- Just a calm sunrise in Blackwater.
- Do you guys think its him?
- Arthur Wick
- I gave this game another go after 2 years and i can't forget this badass moment. My favourite game of all time.
- I’m trying to get an hd poster of the red dead maps combined like this .. does anyone know where I can get the print or someone that can make it ?
- The Hunter
- Accidentally jumped off this cliff. Thank God my horse survived
- Went outside of the map for this photo.
- You, sir, are a view.
- Can someone please help me with the freezing issue?
Red Dead Redemption 2 is going backwards. Posted: 29 Jul 2021 10:45 AM PDT I finished RDR2 yesterday and I find it interesting that all the beats that happen in a story are reversed in this game. We know exactly where it will end and what will happen after the end, but what happened before it started, in Blackwater, is uncertain. Usually in an Open World game the character get's stronger and stronger and the map is gradually uncovered and becomes bigger. Here Arthur and the gang both start at their strongest point and become weaker as time goes on. Every hideout is less luxurious, the gang is less strong and Arthur is dying. It's like Arthur is at level 1 in his last mission. And the map is open from the beginning, but with each chapter there is another incident after which the gang can not visit a place anymore. The map feels smaller with each chapter until you are trapped in the upper right corner. Also usually in the Heroes Journey the hero is at the homestead, get's a call to adventure, meets the mentor, mentor dies, big fight, victory, etc. Here the mentor dies so the hero can refuse the call to adventure and go to the homestead. In every other game the tutoral would have been at the farm and Blackwater would have been the great finale. But Red Dead Redemption is not just any game. [link] [comments] | ||
