    /r/RedDeadRedemption Weekly Question & Answer Thread - Week 37, 2021

All common questions about the game should be directed here. This includes both single-player and online questions. When asking a question, it is often beneficial to share which mode you are referring to in order to get an accurate response. Also consider sharing any relevant information that may help someone answer your question.

All story spoilers must be displayed with the proper format:

    >!RDR is a great game!<

    gives you:

    RDR is a great game

If you're not sure if you should use a spoiler tag or not, err on the side of caution and use one. Also, it's a nice gesture to visibly indicate the general nature of your spoiler before the tag, so people know what you're spoiling.

I made a post about how to make RDR Jon in RDR2 without mods about two weeks ago. I upgraded it. Giving him these spurs that isn’t the gerden spurs fills out the bottom of his ranch pants so they don’t look like disco pants.

I think Lyle Morgan (Arthur's father) has a decent chance of being the protagonist of a potential RDR3

    Posted: 13 Sep 2021 12:43 PM PDT

Think about it. Arthur never goes into much detail about his father. We never really learn anything about him other than the fact that he dies at some point, we don't even know how (or when to my knowledge)Also, and this is where this post delves into spoiler territory, Rockstar seems to have set a pattern with these games so far of having the main character die at the end before being replaced by their successor in the epilogue. I think that we could see a game where we play as Lyle for the main story, then a younger Arthur (or maybe another Van Der Linde gang member?) in the epilogue.Anyway I just think it would be cool and it's pretty likely that if they do make RDR3, it'll be another prequel. It would be interesting to learn about what happened to Arthur's dad and maybe get more exposition for Arthur himself in the process. Maybe Arthur's dog dying could be a plot point? What do you all think?

EDIT: apparently this guy was actually a pretty terrible person. I still think he could make an interesting side character, but yeah definitely not a likable protagonist like Arthur and John

How Rockstar treats the fan base:

I locked onto both of these guys and they crossed paths, both becoming headshots that weren’t supposed to be.

I know 99% of the playerbase hates Micah Bell, but would you still be interested to play as him in a third RDR story set before the Blackwater massacre?

After playing this game off and on for nearly 3 years, I just discovered that you can use the handcar in the open world! This game never gets old.
