HAPPY 3 YEARS TO RED DEAD REDEMPTION 2 I wanted a photo of the gang but it crashed before I could get Arthur or Susan so I seamlessly edited them in and thought I was safe until I looked and NO ONE but Swanson HAS EYES?? anyway yeah rdr2 means a lot to me enjoy heartfelt photo ��

Would John kill Arthur in RDR1 to save his family?

So I have played RDR2 twice, both low and high honour. I haven't played RDR1 but I believe the gist is John needs to hunt down his former gang members - Javier, Bill & Dutch - in order to save his family.

Judging by RDR2, it is a straightforward choice for John, considering each of them was on the other side before the final mission of chapter 6 (Yeah, I know Javier did not directly point his gun at either Arthur or John).

But let's say in an alternate universe in 1899, Arthur never gets TB from Downes perhaps because he never goes to Downes to recover the debt or maybe Micah goes. In the end of chapter 6, he manages to save John, kill Micah, get the money and live on. Yes, there are one too many things that need to be altered in this timeline for Arthur to survive but for argument's sake let's just say Arthur stays alive. He marries Mary and has his own Ranch.

Like John in 1907, he occasionally goes bounty hunting too but has more or less given up the Outlaw life.

Now, the pinkertons get hold of John's family in 1914 and ask him to go after each of his former gang members, including Arthur.

Would John kill Arthut to save Abigail and Jack?
