    A theory, the map of RDR2 looks alot brighter and less aged while the map of RDR looks aged and crumpled (or maybe that'd just be the mountains). Though Arthur hadn't existed during the making of RDR, I think maybe the designers of the sequel made the RDR2 map alot newer-looking to fit the timeline
