Albert Mason is likely based on this man, George Shiras III, who is known as the father of wildlife photography. His were the first wildlife photos featured in NatGeo Magazine, setting the course for the publication to this day. He was always joined by someone who would protect and advise him :)

It could be the smallest "hey there" or just imagine, you walk into a salloon then you bump into someone and he says "pardon me, maam" and it was arthur. I'd probably cry like a b*tch again, i feel like abigail when i remember arthur.
