Why do so many people want to see the RDR storyline continued as Jack in WWI?

It blows my mind that so many people want to continue the story as Jack, in WWI of all things… If you played RDR1 to the very end I dont know how anyone would possibly wanna continue playing as Jack. Not even his voice sounds interesting to me. And the setting of WWI has nothing to do with the Wild West or even the death of the Wild West and trying to justify that it does is really grasping at straws. If Rockstar wanted to make a war game I'd rather them do it as an entirely new franchise. I wouldn't mind if they closed the book on the Van Der Linde gang all together and gave us an entirely new group of characters. We know how their stories end and we can pretty much piece together how they started through details in RDR2. I see no need to try and milk that story any further or go back any further in time. Hell I'd rather play as Landon Rickets.
